It was very busy on the day we went, but we had a lot of fun despite the crowd.
It cost us $6 for an all-day space.) What’s great about this museum is that it’s large, it’s hands-on and it offers a variety of programs including art lessons, science demos, story times, and different exhibits. We went on a Saturday, and there was little traffic and lots of parking options available. It could be a great getaway for Fall Break! Giant slides, chess boards, and hands-on activities make this a great museum for little ones. I love how close it is to North Alabama! If you have younger children or grandchildren in your family, you should make plans to check out the Creative Discovery Museum, located in downtown Chattanooga and very close to the Tennessee Aquarium and great restaurants. Some now are spokespersons against it as a way to show their repentance, which is very heartwarming. Many people recognize that God forgives those who are truly sorry for the act of having an abortion. It shows the reality of the aftereffects of a stillborn child or of an abortion. In conclusion, I highly recommend to everyone to visit here. Usually, the focus is on the female’s emotions, but here, it’s the feelings of every member of the family, which was very helpful for me to help anyone I meet that is going through these trials. It definitely showed me sides I never thought of before. It was very emotional to come here for me (I even have tears in my eyes now). Both the mothers and fathers, as well as surviving siblings feel like they lost a part of them after the abortion happened. The common theme I saw was the girl/lady was extremely scared and didn’t have the necessary support to help her navigate through such a challenging situation for making one bad decision of making a baby and now knows the second decision to have an abortion was even harder on her.
And, of course, the amount of guilt the mothers feel for taking their little one’s life (one lady aborted two babies😢). There was a thank you from one lady to the person who strongly encouraged her mother to not have an abortion. How much they wish they could’ve played or fought with them, seen them graduate school, been their friend, helped them in any way they could. I learned about the feelings the surviving siblings had/have. The amount of guilt they felt was/is enormous.
I learned a lot about the feelings of the fathers who made no effort to stop or even encouraged the girl to get one, due mainly to fear.

You can color me bad if you want to (please don’t), but I carefully looked some of the notes and letters over to give me an idea of how to help all people involved that have dealt with the heartbreaking decision of an abortion. Some letters, notes and gifts for their children. Inside the building, there are a lot of things people have brought in for their aborted children. It was difficult because I had a friend who lost a child as a stillborn over 40 years ago and often she would mention her little girl, usually in tears, until the very end. Some of the plaques give a person a real idea of the pain people feel. I am very glad to have done so!!! The outside grounds are very nice and peaceful where you see memorial plaques for the stillborn children. As a long time Bible teacher, I wanted to visit this place.
